Cheap Phuket flights
If you’re thinking of visiting Phuket, chances are you’re going to want to book a Phuket flight at some point. Thanks to Phuket having its own international airport, it’s possible to book Phuket flights to and from all over Thailand, the region and the rest of the world.
The price of air travel has come down significantly in the past few years. This is especially true of Phuket flights to and from other destinations in Thailand. Some people book their flights direct from their home countries. This is particularly easy if you are booking a flight to Phuket from within Southeast Asia.
For others, in Europe or Australia, for example, there are usually direct Phuket flights available, although in some circumstances the best option is to fly to Bangkok and then onto Phuket. The increased number of flights to Phuket, however, generally eliminates the need to stopover in Bangkok.

Phuket flights to and from destinations in Thailand
Thailand has a number of airlines serving Phuket. These Phuket flights are usually relatively cheap. Air Asia (www.airasia.com) offers Phuket flights to Bangkok. Air Asia’s flights are cheaper the further in advance you book them and there are regular promotions on selected routes. Air Asia offers cheap travel and as a result flights are sometimes late.
Bangkok Airways (www.bangkokair.com) offers Phuket flights to three destinations in Thailand: Koh Samui, Bangkok and Pattaya (U-Tapao). Bangkok Airways also has promotions from time to time, although the fares are generally more expensive than Air Asia.
One-Two-Go (www.fly12go.com) has struggled to recover since the air crash a couple of years ago, but the carrier does still offer reasonably cheap Phuket flights to and from Bangkok.
Nok Air (www.nokair.com) is another Thailand airline offering Phuket flights. Flights are available between Phuket and Bangkok.
The best, and also the most expensive, airline in Thailand is Thai Airways (www.thaiair.com), which flies from Phuket to and from destinations all over Thailand, including Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Surat Thani, Koh Samui, Krabi and Hat Yai. Thai Airways is a great airline, although you pay for the privilege of not being herded on and off the plane like cattle.
