Aside from shopping for food, the local market also serves as a great place to learn more about the culture and local delicacies of Thailand such as their shrimp paste. You can also look for the old man who shells coconuts and enjoy fresh coconut juice and meat.
You can also do some diving and snorkeling and experience the colorful and exotic reefs of the island. For those who do not know how but would like to learn, there are a lot of experienced and certified instructors who could teach you. Diving and snorkeling can be done near the northern side of the bay. You could also try scuba diving, which is cheaper and reportedly safer compared to scuba diving.
