Phuket attractions to sink your teeth into

Given that Phuket is often referred to as a paradise exotic island as you might expect there are plenty of Phuket attractions that you will not want to miss if you are planning a holiday to one of the many exotic Phuket resorts.

One of the best Phuket attractions that is known for its geographical wonder is the Laem Phrompthep. The name itself is a combination of Hindi and Thai and means ‘God like purity’ roughly translated into English which it easily is. The area is a cape that is covered with rich and vibrant wildlife and is a must see while you are in Phuket.

For those interested in geographical Phuket attractions you may simply want to head to the View Point which allows you see many of the beaches of Phuket. It is found sandwiched between the beaches of Kata and Nai Han and allows those who visit to see most of the Phuket coastline including the Ko Pu Island, Kata Noi beach, Kata beach, and the Koran beach.

Those looking for more tourist type Phuket attractions will want to head to the beaches where most of the shops, restaurants, and night life areas are located. Hat Patong is the longest beach and the most developed of all the Phuket beaches and is found 15km from the city. Here you can find many leisure, shopping, and other recreational choices over the 3km long shoreline. In particular most people enjoy the many Phuket attractions found here such as windsurfing, sunbathing, snorkeling, and after hours the vibrant nightlife and numerous seafood restaurants.

Another great beach to check out while you are on vacation in Phuket is the Hot Karon beach which is located about 20km from Phuket. Here there are many resorts that you can choose to stay at while at holiday with a beach that is not in itself developed which is a nice peaceful alternative to Hat Patong beach. However, if you head across the street from the beach you can find everything you need including tourist stores and plenty of restaurants.

Finally, those who want to take in a few historical Phuket attractions while on vacation might want to head to the Wat Chalong where there is a cast iron statue of Luang Pho Cham who is known for helping Phuket suppress the rebellion of 1876.
