18_beach_and_stopsignIf you’re planning a day trip to the beautiful island of Phuket in Thailand, be aware now, that although it is possible to enjoy it in 24 hours, you’ll still want to stay a full week to enjoy this  wonderful place. But, what if you have only about a day to spend there? Here is a suggestion: Go through this article and you can be sure that you will not miss the best places and attractions in Phuket. Even if it turns out to be a one day trip, you have to stay somewhere. Look for a hotel in the phuket town. Patong might not be the best option for you especially if your trip is not going to keep you too long in the island.

Phuket Town is not as busy as the other places but there are certain great sites that you should see there. Now you have to think about your transportation. Given the limited time you have, you are not going to have enough time to spend with a tour group. In that case you can rent a motorcycle which you can drive all along the city with ease. This also happens to be the cheapest option. Do visit the Wat Chalong temple which is said to be one of the best attractions the island has to offer. There is a 60 meter chedi that would serve as an excellent photographic spot. From there you can go to the hill nearby which has the giant Buddha statue.

You will not be disappointed with the hills as they provide breathtaking views that are both romantic and exciting. Promthep cape is the best place in this island for a beautiful sunset. You can go to that place from the hills in less than an hour. Promthep cape attracts hosts of tourists but you won’t feel too overcrowded. When the dinner time comes you should be kicking yourself if you are not hungry! Cycling through the island will definitely give you a voracious appetite which you can handle with a dinner at the national restaurant near Rasada Road circle. You can have a taste of the Thai night life by visiting KorTorMor which is a local club. Wrap up the trip by tasting the street food of Thailand for breakfast!
